Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Cream together the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Mix the melted chocolate into the wet ingredients until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
